Independent technical-writing engagements for Starwood, Deltek, Cerylion, and Waters, including task-based guidance for UNIFI and authoring, editing, and localization management within Deltek’s million-word Costpoint help system.
── WATERS CORPORATION ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Circa 2010 · contract project
For Waters’ UNIFI scientific information system, the documentation began with the task a user needed to complete. The contract work contributed procedural instructions to the platform’s knowledge base, applying task-based technical writing to complex scientific software.
── DELTEK — COSTPOINT ERP ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
June 2007–January 2008
Costpoint ERP for government contractors accounted for approximately 90% of the Deltek work. Its help and knowledge base comprised more than one million words. Authoring and editing within that system required consistent terminology, clear procedures, and formal style standards.
The scope also included managing Lionbridge’s translation and localization work. The documentation program covered English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian, and Chinese, combining technical content production with responsibility for a major external vendor.
