Digital Lumens LED :: Making intelligent LED lighting visible and usable

── FROM EMPLOYEE NUMBER NINE TO CREATIVE DIRECTOR ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Joining Digital Lumens as its ninth employee began a decade of work that grew from technical writing into creative services leadership. The role progressed through technical publications and creative services management to Director of Creative Services, following the product from lighting hardware into software, installation, and customer communication.

Before the ILE-HB-3 could be photographed, a rendered 3D model supplied imagery for marketing, the website, and documentation. Later product work included commercial photography, housing-pattern design, and graphics on the fixture itself.

The wider creative remit included websites, campaign visuals, case studies, sales decks, trade-show environments, and apparel.

── INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PEOPLE USING THE SYSTEM ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

The products had to make sense to installers, administrators, and customers. Illustrated installation instructions, photometric specifications, LightRules administration guides, and localized document families addressed those different needs.
